Ethel Marie Snyder, age 105, of Boston, PA passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 in Riverside Nursing Home, McKeesport, PA. Ethel Marie was born in McKeesport on March 27, 1911 to the late Alex and Mary Chontos. Ethel was a baker for the former Zotters & Star Bakery of McKeesport and a member of St. Mark's Parish in Liberty Boro.

She is survived by her children, James W. Snyder of McKeesport and daughter, Kathryn A. Snyder of Elizabeth Twp., grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 9, also survived by nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Ethel Marie is pre deceased by a sons Thomas J. Snyder, Edward P. Snyder and 7 siblings, brothers, Alex, Andy, Ed, And Joe Chontos, sisters, Wilma Kelly, Margaret (Peg) Gash, and Irene Sandin. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8- pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 9:30am in St. Mark Parish, Liberty Boro. Committal service will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, N. Versailles.
