Elizabeth “Babe” Marasco, age 91, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Saturday, November 1, 2025. She was born on April 12, 1934, the daughter of the late Valent and Elizabeth (Shumar) Mihalic.

She grew up in McKeesport, graduating from McKeesport High School. Babe was a devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Church where she was a member of the church choir. In her free time, she enjoyed baking, especially her world famous nut rolls and cookies.

Above all else, her greatest joy in life was the time spent with her family, a joy that only grew with the addition of new generations. A devoted mother and loving grandmother, she cherished the memories made with her family.

Babe is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Joyce Marasco, her grandchildren, Matthew and his wife, Sarah, Adam and his wife, Chelsea, and Eric and his wife, Claire, and great grandchildren, whom she adored, Jack, Coco and Ellie Marasco. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph “Luffy” Marasco and siblings, William Mihalic, Margaret Harrison and Ann “Toots” Kovacic.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 2:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A service will be held in the chapel at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 10:00 am. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Babe may be made to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
