Eleanor F. Zuber, age 91, of North Huntingdon, passed away January 9, 2017 at her home.  She was born October 12, 1925 in McKeesport, PA, a daughter of the late Matthew and Mary Yedinak Kaftanich.

  Prior to her retirement, Eleanor was a billing clerk for Tank Truck Rentals, a member of AARP, enjoyed working in the yard, and spending time with her family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Zuber in 2013; and sisters, Dorothy and Katherine.  She is survived by her son, Dale Zuber and his wife, Vicky; daughter, Lynn McCauley and her husband, Ed; sister, Rosemarie Hanicak; five grandchildren Elyse and Kara Zuber, Laura (Elliot) Rusk, Marissa and Chas McCauley.  Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.  A funeral service will take place on Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Nate Patnode officiating.  Interment in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
