James “Jim” “Fizzer” Noris O’Bryon, 86, of West Mifflin, formerly of Jefferson Hills, passed away at Jefferson Regional Medical Center on Friday, January 13, 2017. He was born August 22, 1930, in McKeesport, to the late Clifford and Margaret Lloyd O’Bryon. James is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Harrison O’Bryon; daughter, Marsha (Douglas) Murphy of Chantilly, VA; grandsons, Matthew & Kyle Murphy also of Chantilly, VA and loyal dog “Bear”. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Eileen Baron, Patricia Minnicks; brother, Lloyd O’Bryon. Jim served in the US Army during WWII, was employed by US Steel Irvin Works in plant protection, was a member of Pine Run United Methodist Church, enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, golfing, was the former owner of Mon Valley Shooting Supplies, former president of the Lions Club of Jefferson Hills, the Syria Shrine Gun Club and Clairton Sportsman Club, a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge # 765 of East McKeesport, the Junior Order of United American Mechanics, the Masonic Scottish Rite of Pittsburgh and American Legion Post 712 in Pleasant Hills. Visitation will take place on Sunday January 15, 2017 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm at S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025. A service will be held at the funeral home on Monday January 16, 2017 at 10:00 am followed by interment at Jefferson Memorial Park with military honors.
