Robert E. O’Leary Sr., age 93, of North Versailles, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017. He was born in Swissvale, a son of the late Daniel and Helen (Dumigan) O’Leary. He was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in East McKeesport. Robert was an Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II who went on to be a Master Plumber for over 40 years. He was a member of the Plumbers Local #27, Green Valley VFW and the American Legion in White Oak.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of over 70 years Martina P. (Derrig) O’Leary; brothers Daniel, John “Jack” and Charles “Jerry” O’Leary; and sisters Nora Sherry, Helen Sofaly, Rosemary O’Leary and Sally Ann O’Leary. He is survived by his children Sheila (Joseph) Krill, Robert (Christina) O’Leary Jr., Martina (Thomas Macik) O’Leary, James (Elizabeth) O’Leary, Ellen (Paul) Lutty, Margaret (Stephan Hubbard) O’Leary and Sean (Christa McClusky) O’Leary; 18 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and brother Paul (Jackie) O’Leary. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, 412-823-8083. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in East McKeesport. Interment with military honors will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Braddock.
