Kathern P. Brulja, age 93 of McKeesport, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 in Southwestern Nursing Center in West Mifflin. Born March 13, 1923 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Ljubic) Brulja.

A member of the former Sacred Heart Parish in McKeesport, Kathern retired from the accounting department at Westinghouse's East Pittsburgh Plant. She was also a member of the CFU Lodge 146 of Versailles and its Pensioneers' and Ladies' Clubs. She is survived by her sister Helen Brulja and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Bruce, William, and Matt Brulja and her sisters Frances Sopko, Ann Bastasic, and Mary Sipkovich. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, 4504 Walnut St., Versailles Borough, McKeesport, PA 15132 (412-678-3454) on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 10 AM In St. Mark's Parish, Port Vue Site, with Father Daniel Straughn officiating.
