MARGARET M. BANISH age 93, formerly of North Versailles, White Oak and West Mifflin, on February 18, 2017. She was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Sholtis) Hovanec. She was a former member of St. Angela Merici Church, White Oak, and the Keener Senior Citizens of White Oak. She was 1941 graduate of Munhall High School. Beloved wife of the late Albert Banish; mother of James (Charlene) Banish of North Braddock, Joseph (Suzanne) Banish of Pottstown, PA, Judy (John) Silverman of Gibsonia and the late John A. “Jack” Banish; grandmother of Aaron (Casey) Silverman; also three great-grandchildren; sister of Irene Batchen of Pleasant Hills, late Lawrence (surviving spouse Genevieve) Hovanec of West Mifflin, the late William Hovanec, late George (late Agnes) Hovanec, Emily (late Andrew) Horvath, Agnes (Stephen) Povazan of West Homestead, late Stephen Hovanec, late Frank (late Kathleen) Hovanec, late Charles Hovanec, the late John “Sparky” (late Ethel) Hovanec.

Visitation on Monday, February 20, 2017, from 2-8 p.m. at the MALOY - SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church of Good Shepherd Parish at 10 a.m. Everyone please meet at the church. Private burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Park. Please omit flowers.
