Helen M. Skweres, 91, of Elizabeth Township, formerly of East McKeesport, died Saturday February 18, at home. She was born February 14, 1926 in Braddock a daughter of the late Albert and Caroline Kutka Konieczny and was also preceded in death by her husband Andrew E. Skweres and sisters Jane Iskat and Dolores “Dolly” Lenart. She is survived by her daughter Judy Walter and her husband John of Elizabeth; grandsons John and Jason Walter; sisters Mary Ondish of Murrysville and Virginia (Norm) Tamiewitz of Harrison City; also nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, 412-823-8083. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Jude the Apostle Church, Wilmerding. Interment will follow in All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
