Donna J. (Guyer) Yelich, 82, of Hutchinson, died Saturday March 4, 2017, at home. She was born January 28, 1935 in McKeesport the daughter of the late Charles and Hazel (Bumbarger) Guyer and was also preceded in death by her husband Nicholas P. Yelich and a brother Glenn Guyer. She was a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service with over twenty years’ service. She was a member of West Newton United Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder and former junior and senior choir director for 35 years, a Sunday School teacher, a member of the Women’s Association, and the Sewing Circle.
She is survived by her children, Charles F. Yelich and Linda S. (John G.) Sparico both of Hutchinson, Donna M (Chris) Casagrande of Sutersville, and Meri Beth (Glenn “Skip”) Wees of Rillton; her grandchildren Charles M-N Yelich, John N. (Tiffany) Sparico, Valerie (Thomas) Ohler, Nicholas A. Casagrande (fiancé Samantha Fogal), Christopher A. Casagrande (Malarie Munden), Zachary A. Casagrande, Tracy (Rick) Garufi, Brandi (Mac) Wees-White, Corrie (Chris) Houp, and Josh (Kalyn) Wees; and eight great grandchildren. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in West Newton United Presbyterian Church, Fourth and Main Streets, West Newton, PA 15089, with Rev. John Manon, officiating. Those attending the service please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to West Newton United Presbyterian Church.
