Paul E. Reed, 69, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday March 11, 2017 in the Veterans Hospital, Aspinwall. He was born May 11, 1947 in Homer City, a son of the late Leila LaRue (Reed) Behe and was also preceded in death by his wife Donna J. (Majercik) Reed and a son Milan P. Reed. Paul was a retired employee of Piad Precision Casting Corp., Greensburg. He was a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was a life member of North Irwin Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Westmoreland County Emergency Amateur Radio Service and was formerly active with Rescue 8, North Huntingdon.

He is survived by his children Matthew J, (Samantha) Reed of Larimer, and Dennis P. (Marie) Reed of North Huntingdon; his grandchildren Lacey, Ryan, Michael, Zachary, and Aidan Reed; siblings, Margaret (Jim) Bash of Ligonier, Shirley (Clark) Cribbs of Commodore, Donna Stormer of Ligonier, Richard Patterson of Clymer, and Frances (John) Oswalt of Penn Run; sister in law Diane (the late Thomas) Weaver of Irwin and Dennis (Natalie) Majercik of North Huntingdon; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Janice Altenburger, officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
