Richard C. Crush, 80, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday March 18, 2017. He was born April 9, 1936 in Allentown, a son of the late Frederick and Arlene (Bortz) Crush and was also preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Ann Crush and a brother Frederick “Fritz” Crush. Richard graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University and retired after thirty five years’ service with Westinghouse Electric Company. Richard was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his family, golfing, and working in his garden. He was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, Irwin.

He is survived by his wife of nearly sixty years Dorothy (Marteeny) Crush; his children Scott Crush of Philadelphia, Linda (Peter) Scanlon of Mclean, VA, and Maryann Royall of Cranberry Township; his grandchildren Jessica Royall, Joshua Royall, and Connor Scanlon; and his great grandchildren Ty and Ryder Dingeldein. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 621 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Ronald H. Wakeman officiating. Interment will follow in Somerset County Memorial Park.
