Kathleen (Kathy) Byrnes Christopher, 81, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at her home.

She was born February 22, 1936 in Braddock, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Belyan Lopata.  Prior to her retirement, Kathy worked in payroll for the University of Pittsburgh.  She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Irwin, enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casinos and spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she adored.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son.  She is survived by her beloved husband, Donald H. Christopher; her children, Lynn Williams and her husband, Ross, Laura Cummins and her husband, Dave, Donna Stull and her husband Herb, and David Christopher and his fiancee Coleen Tokosh; grandchildren, Lauren, Alex and Katie Walkowski, Joseph and John Tokosh; sister, Dianne Casorio and her husband, Frank; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.   Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A funeral service will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Irwin.  PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH.  Interment in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
