James M. Butler, 70, of Coulter, died Tuesday March 28, 2017 in McKeesport Hospital. He was born October 16, 1946 in McKeesport, a son of the late James Francis and Marie (Donnelly) Butler and was also preceded in death by his wife Susan Butler and brothers William H. and Stanley J. Butler. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. James is survived by his son James Butler; step daughter Tara Welsh; his sister Mary Ann (Larry) Sutton; aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Church, 523 Patton Ave., Jeannette with Father Paul Lisik officiating. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery.
