Alexandra Mamas, age 96, of McKeesport, died on April 2, 2017. She was born in Chios, Greece on August 15, 1920 and is the daughter of the late Micah and Zenovia Klouvas.
She is survived by son, James M. (Cathy) Mamas of Miami, FL; daughter, Patricia (Dr. Norman) Demos of Elizabeth Twp.; siblings; Antigone Vlahos of Atlanta, GA; Evangelia Spectakou of Greece; Victor Klouvas of Greece; Panteli Klouvas of Greece; grandchildren, Dr. Andrew (Elaine Esq.) Demos of Long Island, NY; Michael (Dana) Demos of Palm Beach, FL; Antonia (Justin) Mamas of St. Augustine, FL; Michael (Ashley) Mamas of St. Augustine, FL; Alexander Mamas of Miami, FL; great-grandchildren, Alexander Andrew Demos, Ariyanna Demos, Elise Alexandra Demos, Michael Bradon Demos, Anthony James Mamas, Michael Mamas, Noah Mamas, and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews both in the U.S. and Greece.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Michael D. Mamas; siblings, Ismene Amartolou, Maria Kosta, Chrysoula Vrouze, and Niko Amartolou
She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in White Oak, St. Markella Ladies Philoptochos Society, and the Chian Society. She was active in her church life, promoter and advocate of her heritage, culture and faith, Unrivalled cook, baker, and hostess. She is one of the last of the greatest generation and will be missed dearly.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Tuesday April 4, 2017 from 6 pm until 10 pm. Visitation at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church will be on Wednesday April 5, 2017 at 9 am with services at 10 am with Father William Zotis officiating. Burial will follow in McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to St. Markella Philoptochos Society (Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1128 Summitt St, White Oak, PA 15131).
