Oleda E. (Werner) Shoemaker, 86, of Elizabeth Township, passed awsay on Sunday, February 7, 2016 in her home. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Belle Vernon. Born August 10, 1929 in Elizabeth Township, she was a daughter of the late William and Grace (Gephart) Werner and wife of the late William "Pinky" Shoemaker, who passed away May 24, 2000.

Oleda is survived by a daughter, Gloria J. (Ron) Wylie of Elizabeth; sons, William (Val) Shoemaker, Jr. of Sutersville, John C. (Sonia) Shoemaker of Scottdale, Joe (Rebecca) Shoemaker of Clairton and Dean A. Shoemaker of Elizabeth Township; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Arico of Elizabeth Township and Madeline Lyons of Ruffsdale; brothers, Paul (Soonie) Werner of Minnesota and James (Nancy) Werner of Altoona; also, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 N. 2nd. Ave., Elizabeth, PA 15037 (412-384-4344) on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 100 W.
