Sylvina A. Black, age 87 of White Oak, died Monday, April 10, 2017.

She was born in McKeesport on June 5, 1929, the daughter of the late Sydney and Elsie Kern Snider and wife of the late William H. Black. She was a member of Bryn Mawr Church of Christ in White Oak and the McKeesport Art Group. Sylvina is survived by her son James M. (Billie Skrabski) Corey of N. Versailles, daughter; Dorothy (John) Frank of The Villages, Florida, stepsons; William, Robert, Mitchell and Marshall Black, 5 grandchildren, and 7 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Ben G. Corey, two grandsons; Ben D. and Steven Corey, and her sister Dorothy “Dottie” Jackson. Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 2pm until the time of service at 6pm at Striffler’s of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177).
