Velda C. Hughes, 71, of North Versailles, died Sunday February 7, 2016. She was born February 18, 1944 in Pittsburgh a daughter of the late Charles and Henrietta Hughes. Velda was a retired employee of P B & S Chemical, McKeesport, and volunteered for many years for Meals On Wheels. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and loved her dogs. She is survived by cousins and many friends.

At Velda’s request there will be no viewing or services. Interment was private. Those wishing may contribute to White Oak Animal Safe Haven, 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131.
