Beverly M. Chomas, age 84, of Forward Twp., passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Jefferson Hospital. She was a retired registered nurse at Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was a member of Elizabeth United Methodist Church where she was the coordinator of the Telephone Prayer Chain and the Greeting Card Ministry. She enjoyed socializing and dining with her cousins, high school classmates, and Presbyterian nursing alums. 

Born April 9, 1933, in West Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Violet (Haywood) McCorkle and wife of the late Theodore R. Chomas. She is survived by daughters, Nancy L. (Rick) Sams of Parkersburg, WV, and Jill Deahl of Forward Twp.; son, Dr. Dale R. (Tam) Chomas of Watsontown; grandchildren, Kerry Sandly of Turbotville, Andrew Chomas of Louisville, CO, and R. James Sams of Parkersburg, WV; great-grandchild, Lucas Sandly of Turbotville; sister-in-law, Elizabeth A. (Carl) Calabro of Spring, TX and their two daughters, Victoria and Blaire; and her beloved cat, Chloe. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Friday, June 23, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 10 AM with Pastor Jack Piper officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
