Raymond J. Shash, age 90, of Rillton, PA, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Redstone Highlands, Greensburg.

He was born May 19, 1927 in Rillton, a son of the late Joseph and Maria Dellosa DeShash.  Prior to his retirement, Raymond was a machinist for Westinghouse and a veteran of the US Army having served in Korea.  He was a member of St. Edward Parish, Herminie, Norwin Elks, Irwin Moose and Herminie VFW.  He enjoyed ballroom dancing, gardening and cooking.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Damico Shash; brothers, Joseph and Nicholas Shash; sisters, Evelyn DeShash, Elma DeShash, Enea Damiano and Joy DeShash.  He is survived by his son, Raymond J. Shash and his wife, Valerie; daughter, Patricia DiSasio; grandchildren, Angela Elm (Erik), Adam Shash (Kelly); great-granddaughter, Adalind Elm; numerous nieces and nephews; and companion, Margaret Parlog.  Arrangements will be private.  James W.
