Urszula I. Ptak, age 69 of North Versailles, died Monday, July 10, 2017.  She was born in Poland on June 2, 1948 and is the daughter of Benedykt and Lucja Fatz Kubera.

 As a young girl, she worked in a textile mill in Poland and after coming to the U.S. she worked in the catering business as a cook at Woody’s Italian Restaurant for over 20 years until she retired. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her joy was caring for her family and gardening. She is survived by her husband Marek J. Ptak, daughter, Agnes (James G. III) Knapton of Lincoln Borough, sons; Tomasz Ptak of Baldwin and Krzysztof K. (Sarah N.) Ptak of Stafford Virginia, grandchildren; Mark, Natalie, James, William, and Alexander. She also has a brother and 4 sisters living in Poland. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, July 12th from 6 to 8 pm at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177). Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 12:00 pm, Corpus Christi Church, with Fr. Steven Palsa officiating. Burial will follow. Condolences may be made at www.strifflerfuneralhomes.com.
