John I. Griser, 75, of Versailles, died Thursday, February 18, 2016. He was born January 8, 1941 in Pitcairn, a son of the late Arthur L. and Irma A. (Scott) Griser and was also preceded in death by his siblings Agnes Olesky, Arthur E., Harry M., Joseph, and James E. Griser. He was a former employee of the Winchester Room, North Versailles and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife Shirley (Krantz) Griser; children Anita Neal of Jeanette, Nancy (James Jr.) Bobbert of Florida, Kristine (Milton) Kirshner of Greensburg, Gary (Maria) Griser of Hibbs, and Tammi Jo Griser, of Versailles; 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; siblings, Sarah Fulmer Browell of Duquesne, Samuel “Eddie” Griser of Ligonier, his twin sister Dolores Hitt of Pittsburgh, Mary Owens of MI, David Griser and Sharron Fulmer both of TX, Robert Griser of Lawrenceville, Dorothy Beeman of Boswell, Thomas Griser of SC, Richard Griser of Ligonier, Joan Price of Harrisburg, Roy Griser of North Huntingdon, Susan McCellan of Turtle Creek, and Leonard Fulmer of Forrest Hills; also many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home,1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, 412-823-8083, where a funeral service will be held Monday at noon.
