Mary "Mame" (Kovka) Mazzola, age 94 of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in Goodyear, AZ. Born on August 21, 1923 in McKeesport, PA to the late George and Anna (Pido) Kovka.

Mary was a member of the Ascension of our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church in Clairton and a former employee of JC Penney when it was located in Southland Shops, Pleasant Hills. Mary was a graduate of Clairton High School and remained a lifetime resident of Clairton. She was the wife of the late Guido "Lee" Mazzola and is survived by daughter; Carol (Roger) Selznick of Goodyear, AZ, sons; Kenneth (Nancy) Mazzola of Clairton and Robert (the late Mary Ann) Mazzola of McKeesport, grandchildren; Kenneth Mazzola, Jr., Shawn (Kristi) Mazzola, Carol (Aaron) Whiteman and Ami (Jason) Macke, 7 great grandchildren. Friends will be received in the A. J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 2pm -4pm and 6pm -8pm with a Parastas at 7:30pm. A Panachyda will be held at 10am on Thursday, August 31, 2017 in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ascension Cemetery, Clairton.
