Zelus Vern Deckard, 92 of McKeesport passed away September 15, 2017 in UPMC McKeesport after a long illness.

Zelus Vern Deckard, 92 of McKeesport passed away September 15, 2017 in UPMC McKeesport after a long illness. He was know as Vern to most of his friends. He was the son of the late  Elie and Dora Deckard. He was born July 15, 2017 in Lawrenceville, Illinois. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired supervisor for U.S.S teel American Bridge. A Member of Iron Workers local 103.

Vern is survived by his loving wife Kitty Lee (Hail) Deckard, three daughters and two sons and a step son. According to his wishes there is no visitation or services. Cremation arrangments are under the care of the William H. Craig Funeral Home, Inc. 3000 Versailles Ave. McKeesport,Pa.15132
