Anthony L Fisher, age 90, of Swissvale, died Saturday, March 5, 2016.  Anthony was born in Swissvale on Sep. 8, 1925 to Anthony and Madeiline McGuirk Fisher.

He served in the Navy during WWII and was a member of the Swissvale American Legion and Knights of Columbus. Prior to retirement he was employed by Florida Power Company and worked as a nuclear power technician. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Madeiline Singer and aunt Margaret “Peg” Anderson. 

He is survived by his wife Rita A. (Russo) Fisher; sons, Anthony L. (Catherine Rena) Fisher III of Bethel Park, David R. (Whitney) of Irwin, Daniel J. (Linda) of Oakdale, and Patrick J. (Lisa) of Liberty Boro. Also 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177) Monday from 4-8 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held Tue. 10 am at St. Mark Church in Liberty Boro. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
