Holly Gernhardt, 70, of Murrysville, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Forbes Regional Hospital.

She was born December 15, 1946 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Herbert and Alice Hampshire.  Prior to her retirement, Holly was a secretary for District Justice Franzi and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking, writing stories and loved dogs and cats, especially her grand puppy, Taco.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Gernhardt; son-in-law, Mark Pavlik; and sister, Dale Good.  She is survived by her daughters, Connie Pavlik and Beth Davis and her husband, Dwight; brother, David Hampshire and his wife, Cheryl; sister, Linda Mazzoni; eight grandchildren, James Pavlik, Alisha Hixson, Xavier Davis, Zachary Davis, Marlena Pavlik, Shane Pavlik, Yasmine Davis, Whitney Davis; and one great-grandchild, Elora Hixson who loved her GG very much.  Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m.  A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Interment Thursday at 1:30 p.m.  in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Delmont, PA.
