Donald J. Lane, age 86, of North Huntingdon died Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the VA Hospital, Aspinwall. He was born August 27, 1931 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late James and Lena Ernest Lane.

Prior to his retirement, Donald was a machinist for Mesta Machine Company, a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, and a veteran of the US Air Force having served during the Korean War Era.  Don was the former vice president of St. Agnes Athletic Association where he coached for many years.  He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores  Lane; daughters, Cindy Pistella and Mary Schaffer; daughter-in-law, Elaine Lane; and sisters, Ruthie and Peggy.  He is survived by  five children, James, Gary and his wife, Mary, Donald, Kevin and his wife Vickey, and Lori Olsen (George Marinello);  13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Monday at 11 a.m.   Interment Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
