Edward M. Katic, age 93 of North Huntingdon died December 30, 2017 at his home. He was born September 16, 1924 in McKeesport, Pa., a son of the late Mark and Stella Lubinski Katic.

 Ed was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by General Motors. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, was a member of the VFW Post 781 and a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Pilipovich Katic in 1999, one brother, John Katic. He is survived by a daughter, Kathy Katic, sister-in-laws, Helen and Jean Pilipovich, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and many friends. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, Pa on Wed from 4-8 p.m. A blessing service will be held Thursday 10 a.m in the funeral home chapel. Interment, Irwin Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a future memorial bench to be placed at Twin Lakes in memory of Ed, where he was a member of Twin Lakes Fish Club. www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
