EDWIN LAWRENCE SERENA (also known by his childhood nickname "Wheatie"), 70, of Glassport, passed away peacefully, March 12, 2016.  He is the son of the late Edwin and Lucille (Barrett) Serena.  Beloved husband of Mary (Skrtic) Serena; father of David (Denise) Serena and Kristen (Rosario) DiPaolo; grandfather of Jonathan Checefsky, Emilie Serena and Santino DiPaolo; brother of Carol (Carl) Cupp and Ruth (William) Patterson. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ed was retired from Copperweld, Irvin Works, Grant Towers and most recently Meals on Wheels.  He was a member of the Glassport Methodist Church; past President of the Dartball League and was an avid fisherman and loved camping and the outdoors.

Family and friends will be received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport, Tues. 6-8 and Wed. 2-4 and 6-8.  A funeral service will be held Thurs. 11:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Hal Dangel. Interment following Jefferson Memorial Park.
