William H. Beardsley Jr., age 88, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at Walden's View, North Huntingdon.  He was born November 21, 1929 in McKeesport, Pa., a son of the late William H. and Hilda A. (Gondean) Beardsley.

Prior to his retirement, William was a Bander for Westinghouse, East Pittsburgh and a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War Era.  He enjoyed woodworking, model trains and was a huge Pittsburgh Sports Team Fan.  In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Piovesan Beardsley.  He is survived by his son, Kerry Beardsley and his wife, Maryann; daughters, Kathy Valdez and her husband, Eddie, Karen Caputo, Kim Yingling and her husband, Dean; brother, Gary Beardsley; grandchildren, Erin (Matt) Perozich, Kristin (Bobby) McClure, Kevin Beardsley, Brandon (Amanda) Bajamundi, Keith (Krystle) Bajamundi, Magen (Jon) Caputo, Ashley Caputo, Nicole Caputo, Morgan Yingling; great-grandchildren, Camdyn, Jordan, Leighton, Briana and Kayleigh.  Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Interment to follow in Westmoreland Memorial Park, Greensburg, PA.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rillton VFW.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
