Margaret R. Markland, 91, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at The Grove at Irwin.  She was born September 28, 1926 in McKeesport, Pa., a daughter of the late Samuel W. and Wanda M. (Colditz) Chapman.

Margaret was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church, McKeesport, former member of Daughters of Kings, enjoyed golfing and valued the friendships she made through her love of golf.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Markland, Sr.; and sister, Ruth Murtha.  She is survived by her son, William Jr. and his wife, Janice; daughter, Ruth Watkins and her husband, William; four grandchildren, Douglas and his wife Tamie, Daniel , Katy and David, four great grandchildren, Faith, Josh, Brooke and Mason. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Norwin Public Library or St. Stephens Episcopal Church, McKeesport.  James W.
