Zachary J. Ebbitt, age 33, of Pittsburgh, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018. He was born November 30, 1984 in Monroeville, the son of James (girlfriend Hazel Bizub) Ebbitt and the late Cheyrl S. (Redeker) Ebbitt. He graduated from Norwin High School and went onto earn a degree in Safety Engineering from Slippery Rock University and was the past Vice President of the fraternity Phi Kappa Theta. He went onto work at many locations as a safety engineer and was always smiling and well liked. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his grandparents Claude and Polly Redeker and Clyde and Norma Ebbitt.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister Kacey C. Ebbitt of White Oak; uncles Don Mowery, Rick Redeker and Buzz and Artie Comer; and cousin Stuart Mowery. Friends and family will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. Everyone will gather at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home for a funeral service with Rev. Bruce Judy officiating. Interment will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park in North Huntingdon Township.
