Francis S. Furst, age 79, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Family Hospice & Palliative Care in Mt. Lebanon. A retired storeroom clerk at Jefferson Hospital, he was a member of Elizabeth United Methodist Church and a social member of Blaine Hill Volunteer Fire Company.

Born May 10, 1938 in Glassport, he was a son of the late Elmer F. and Elizabeth (Kostura) Furst. He is survived by his sisters, Audrey McGinn of Greenock, Joyce Jones of Salem, WV, Mary "Dew" (Curt) Briggs of Elizabeth Twp., Cynthia Ann Kukulka of Elizabeth Twp., Karen (Earl) Goreck of Port Vue, Nancy Lee Furst at home, and Pamela (Don) Pishney of Elizabeth Twp.; brothers, John (Karen) Furst of Scottdale and Elmer (Katie) Furst Jr. of Dunbar; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Deborah Donnelly. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, LLC, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 12:30 pm in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jack H. Piper officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
