Barry “Bear” Wright, age 67, of Wilson, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Jefferson Hospital. A Navy veteran having served in Vietnam, he was a retired self-employed contractor. He enjoyed fishing and shooting, and was a member of the Wilson American Citizens Club, the Thompson Run Athletic Club, and VFW Post 803 in Wilson.

Born June 17, 1950 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Seibert "Abe" and Betty J. (Criswell) Wright. He is survived by his daughter, Heather (Larry) Wright of Elizabeth Twp.; son, Brian L. Wright of Port Vue; former spouse, Debbie Wright of Port Vue; brother, Ronald Wright of Belle Vernon; sister, Diane Wright of Delaware; brother, Bert Wright of Pittsburgh; brother, Greg Wright of Beaver Falls; sister, Denise Wright of West Newton; loving companion with whom he resided, Audrey Pellecchia; stepchildren, Tara Pellecchia of Verona and Nicky Pellecchia of Wilson; step-grandchild, Erica Wilson; step-great-grandchild, Olivia Snow White; also, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stillborn daughter. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 2-4 and 6 until the time of funeral service at 7:30 PM in the chapel with Pastor Lota Jones. Burial will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 10:30 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to his children.
