Mark Thomas Melonja, age 30 of Forward Twp. and formerly of West Jefferson Hills, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Born August 22, 1987 in McKeesport, he is a son of Mark Melonja and his wife Kathy Miller-Melonja of Carroll Twp.. An operating technician at US Steel Edgar Thompson Works in Braddock, Mark was a devoted father who enjoyed riding dirt bikes in his spare time.

Besides his father and stepmother, he is survived by his daughter Layla Melonja, his fiancee Laura L. Megela of Forward Twp., his sister Crystal (Jeff) Powell of West Mifflin, his nieces Reiley and Mackenzie Powell, many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly, and his future in-laws and extended family. Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, 555 5th. St., Clairton, PA 15025 (412-233-5700) on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 1 to 4 PM and 6 to 9 PM and Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 1 to 4 PM and 6 until an 8:30 PM Blessing with Deacon Dale DiSanto officiating.
