Russell V. Babeo, Jr., age 49, of North Huntingdon, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018. He was born in Pittsburgh on August 29, 1968 and is the son of Marjorie D. Meyers Babeo of N. Huntingdon and the late Russell V. Babeo, Sr. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons, Vincent Peter and Tanner Alden Babeo of North Huntingdon.

He was a General Motors Certified Master Technician and he received the Automotive Service Excellence Certificate. He was an Automotive Technician for Tom Clark Chevrolet in White Oak, a Service manager and technician for Victory Lane in N. Versailles, and a Service Manager and Technician at Harrison Automotive in N. Huntingdon. Russ, who was an avid baseball enthusiast, was affectionately referred to as “Coach Russ”, was a coach for his sons’ baseball teams, assisted with the Police Athletic League of N. Huntingdon and the Norwin Travel Baseball league.

Family and friends will be received Friday, March 9, 2018 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (412-678-6177), Services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Grant Abe and Pastor Glenn Meyers officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.

Remembrances may be made in Russ’ name to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pgh., 15205.
