Atanas "Tony" Pavlov, 64, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 21, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Maria Pavlov for 38 years. In addition to his loving wife he leaves his daughters of whom he was extremely proud, Fani Jenkins, her husband Jason, and their daughter Emma, whom he adored, all of Boulder, CO, and Vivian Pavlov-Schultz and her husband Scott, of North Huntingdon.
Tony received his bachelor’s degree in computer science in his birth country of Bulgaria and earned his master’s degree in computer science in Vienna, Austria. Tony’s ultimate goal was to come to America to give his family the best opportunities possible and he believed that with hard work, anything was possible. Prior to his retirement, Tony was employed at UPMC as a software architect. What was most important to him was to be the best husband and father he could be for his family, always putting them first.
At Tony’s request there will be no viewing.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2016 in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 308 Second Street, Irwin. Everyone attending the mass is invited to a celebration of Tony’s life immediately following at the Antonelli Event Center, 100 Colony Dr., Irwin.
