It is with great sadness the family of Bryan David Angelo announces his passing on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the age of 45. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends in New York Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.
Born July 21, 1972 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Sandra L. (William M. Planich) DeMaio Angelo of Jefferson Hills and the late Ronald C. Angelo (Carol Giannini). Along with his mother and stepfather, Bryan is survived by his loving brother, Christopher (Amy) Angelo of Jefferson Hills; stepbrother Scott Yannazzo of Las Vegas, NV; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Giangarlo of Jefferson Hills; aunt, Denise DeMaio Potter of Port Vue; cousin, Amanda Leigh Potter of San Francisco, CA; also survived by a large extended family. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Julio Giangarlo, and stepbrother, Jeffery Yannazzo. Bryan, a native of Jefferson Hills, graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. Bryan began his career at Tracy Locke in 1995 and became an Associate Creative Director for Ryan Partnership/Epsilon in 2011 in Westport, CT. He was known for his great culinary skills and finding joy in hosting his friends, making everyone laugh, and possessing a genuine interest in people that was inspiring. His favorite place was at the beach, and spent many weekends in Newport, RI with his longtime friends. His family finds comfort in knowing that Bryan is surrounded by his family of angels, sharing his sense of humor and his big personality. A memorial gathering will take place on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 11AM until the time of service at 12 Noon with Rev. Jude Urso presiding in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home Chapel, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth. A luncheon immediately following the service will take place at the Georgetown Centre, Pleasant Hills.
