Antonio “Tony” J. Sparico, 83, of West Mifflin passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday March 14, 2018. He was born in McKeesport May 5, 1934 to the late John B. and Marie Anna Rera Sparico. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia A. Lister Sparico; son, Anthony (Trina) Sparico of Upper St. Clair; daughter, Jannine (Bert) Ackerman of West Homestead; grandchildren, Megan (Alex Gennari) Sparico, Tracy Johnson, Anthony (Amanda) Sparico, Natalie Sparico, Annalee Sparico; great-grandchild, Wyatt Antonio Johnson. Along with his parents, Tony was preceded in death by daughter, Kristin Sparico; brother, Peter J. Sparico and sister Mary Antonella. He resided in West Mifflin for most of his life, served in the US Army during the Korean War, was employed by US Steel National Tube Plant in McKeesport and Hechingers in West Mifflin, was a lifetime member & past president of West Mifflin #3 VFC, enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, his grandchildren, Carmella (his dog), was a member of VFW Post 914 in West Mifflin. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to VFW Post 914, 4901 Ball Avenue, West Mifflin, PA 15122. Visitation will take place Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm and Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 11 am – 1 pm at S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025.
