Regis Daniel Walton, age 86, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at home. He was born December 13, 1931 in Braddock, a son of the late Joseph and Margaret Walton. He was a long time member of Greater Works Outreach, Monroeville. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict stationed at Fort Knox and went on to spend the next 28 years managing a number of bowling businesses including Norwin Lanes, North Versailles Bowling, and Bowling City, Mt. Lebanon. Most recently, until his retirement in December, he was in sales for Toona Auto Parts in North Huntingdon. He was an accomplished bowler, enjoyed golf and loved his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son-in-law Jim Snyder; brothers Joe, Bob and Jack Walton; and a sister Audrey Yates. He is survived by his wife of over 66 years Joan (Ridgeway) Walton; his children Daniel (Donna) Walton of Monroeville, Diane Snyder of Wexford, David (Becky) Walton of Monroeville and Dennis (Bonnie) Walton of Ford City; 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. Everyone will gather at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday for a funeral service with Rev. Gary Mitrik officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to MTES Mission to El Salvador (which is led by his missionary grandson, Jon Snyder) at 171 Berryfield Court, Wexford, PA 15090.
