Clara M. (Marschik) Protheroe, age 86, of North Versailles, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018. She was born February 25, 1932 in Murrysville, a daughter of the late Ralph and Jane (Wilson) Marschik. She was a long time member of Linway United Presbyterian Church in North Versailles, where she was a former Sunday school teacher. She worked in bookkeeping at Clean Linen in Wilkinsburg for over 30 years before retiring. She loved to participate with different square dancing groups in the area.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 27 years Robert Protheroe; three brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by her sons Robert A. Protheroe of North Versailles, Larry P. (Gail) Protheroe of Colorado Springs, Colorado and John D. (Rosalina) Protheroe of North Versailles; grandchildren Paulmark, Johanna, David, Jeff, and Mary; two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, 412-823-8083. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Linway United Presbyterian Church in North Versailles. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Monroeville.
