Richard D. Orr Sr., 85, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at Hempfield Manor.

 He was born November 19, 1932 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Frank and Violet Wright Orr. Richard was known to his friends and family as an overall handyman. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Vickie Suggars; three sisters, Rena, Marion and Jean. He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Kimmel Orr; one son, Richard Jr. (Catherine); one daughter, Shirley Favero ( Tony); two sisters, Nancy and Cindy; four grandchildren, Jessica, Lindsay, Richard III, Mackenzie; four great- grandchildren, Nicholas, Brianna, Rylee and Carson. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, Pa., on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.  Interment Irwin Union Cemetery. www.shirleyfuneralhome.com
