Stephen "Steve" Milas, age 90 of New Eagle and formerly of South Park, passed away on August 19, 2018 in Jefferson Hospital. Born May 26, 1928 in Broughton, he was a son of the late Stephen and Anna (Karin) Milas. Steve was preceded in death by his brothers Anthony, Marty (Kitty,) and Michael (Eva) Milas; sisters Mary (Leonard) Romano and Rose (Ettore) Ginestra; and in-laws Joseph DiFrancesco, Glen and Elvira Williams, Fritz Bartolini, Andy Sakas, and Arthur DiFrancesco.
He was a graduate of Clairton High School, then attaining his bachelor's degree in accounting from Duquesne University. He was a Korean War veteran, stationed in Germany in the US Army's 2nd. Armored Division . As a young man, he and his brothers owned and operated Milas Brothers Beer Distributor in Clairton, then went on to work with the US Treasury Department until his retirement. Throughout his life, Steve was an avid golfer and sports fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Norma (DiFrancesco) Milas; his sisters-in-law Anna Milas, Thelma Bartolini, Rose Sakas, and Linda DiFrancesco. Steve is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces-and-nephews, and great-great-nieces-and-nephews. As per Steve's wishes, all funeral arrangements are private.
