Maria Elena Arguelles, 59, of Irwin, died unexpectedly Monday August 27, 2018 at home. She was born January 7, 1959 in Oklahoma City, OK, a daughter of the late Arturo Jimenez Sr. and Maria (Menchaca) Arguelles. Maria earned an associate degree as an Office Technician/Medical Assistant and worked as a customer specialist for CVS Pharmacy in their Spanish department. She was a wonderful loving generous person, a history enthusiast, and loved animals especially kitties. She is survived by her life partner Cynthia L. Snyder; her siblings Margarita Arguelles, Amelia Aleman, and Joe Arguelles; nieces Yda Aleman, Laura (Mario) Esparza; and great niece Nikki Aleman all of Kingsville, TX; also her cherished friend Katherine Janeway.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. with Dr. Ronald H. Wakeman officiating. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to Pet Friends, P.O. Box 484, Irwin, PA 15642.
