John Fekete, 75, of Westmoreland City, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 at Transitions Healthcare. He was born March 25, 1943 in Jersey City, NJ, a son of the late John and Mary Dzurka Fekete. Prior to his retirement, John was a machinist for Fulmer Company, a veteran of the US Army, having served during Vietnam War, and a member of St. Stephen's Byzantine Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Judith A. Churley Fekete; sons, Steven Fekete, Robert Fekete and his wife, Susan, Christopher Fekete and his wife, Jamie; sister, Mary Walley and her husband, Dick; grandchildren, Brice, Reese, Michael, Sarah and Julie; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and a great great-nephew.
Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, on Wednesday from 10 to 11:30 am. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 am. The family would like to thank the staff at Transitions Healthcare of North Huntingdon for their kind and compassionate care of John.
