Helen (Charney) Wegrzynek, age 87, of North Versailles passed away Friday, January 11, 2019. She was born July 20, 1931 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Michael and Ann Charney. She was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wilmerding. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 54 years Stanley Wegrzynek; brothers Michael and Andrew Charney; and sister Ann Grabowski. She is survived by her children Jane (Wayne) Tobac of Scott Twp. and Daniel Wegrzynek of Pitcairn; grandchildren Michael (Elise) Tobac of Scott Twp., Evan (Rachel) Tobac of Freemont, California, and Jeremy (Fiancé Melissa) Tobac of Cary, North Carolina; and brother John Charney.

Friends and Family will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, 412-823-8083. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wilmerding. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in North Versailles.
