Lester M. Dolton Jr., 86, of Murrysville, passed away Wednesday January 16, 2019. He was born May 26, 1932 in Clairton, a son of the late Lester M Dalton Sr. and Emma (Adams) Dalton. Lester is an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a retired electrician for U.S. Steel, Clairton Works. He was a member of Holiday Park United Methodist Church and the Junior Order of United American Mechanics where he held various local, state, and national offices. He had a love and passion for bowling, participating in five bowling leagues, one of which he started 50 years ago. He was bowling only weeks before his passing. Lester had a great love of and faith in the Lord. He loved everyone he met and in return was loved by many. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Janet (Crownover) Dolton; son Brian Dolton; son-in-law Keith Ferrington Sr., and brother Ronald Dolton. He is survived by his children Bonnie Ferrington of Murrysville, Sherri (Mark) Ward of Colorado, Randy (Judy) Dolton of Latrobe, Janet (Robert) Allan of North Huntingdon, and Renee Dolton of Myrtle Beach; daughter-in-law Vickey Dolton of Smithton; 20 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; siblings June Betzner of Elizabeth, David Dolton of McKeesport, Donna Stewart of Elizabeth, Larry Dalton of Liberty Boro, and Gary Dalton of Fayette City; also nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Anthony Fallisi, officiating.
