Lawrence “Bub” William Trimnal, 90, of Clairton, formerly of Winter Haven, FL, passed away at home, surrounded by his adoring family, on Friday, January 18, 2019. He was born January 6, 1929 in McKeesport to the late Irby and Janet Wilds Trimnal. Bub is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Shirley A. Bobbs Trimnal; sons, Lawrence Trimnal of Clairton, William Trimnal of Clairton, Erick (Sandy) Trimnal of Finleyville, Keith (Cindy) Trimnal of Clairton; daughter, Valerie (August) Smarra of Jefferson Hills; brother, Odis (Dodi) Trimnal of Dravosburg; daughter-in-law, Linda Trimnal of Rock Hill, SC; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, Bub was preceded in death by son, Barry Trimnal; siblings, Charles Trimnal, Wayne Trimnal, and Doris Stock. He was a proud veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean Conflict, before retiring, Bub was an iron worker and was a member of Local #3 Iron Worker’s Union. He was a member of VFW Post 803 in Clairton, enjoyed golf, and loved spending time with his family. Aside from his love and pride for his family and his country, Bub fulfilled a promise he made to himself when, at age 57, he received his GED. Arrangements have been entrusted to S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Living Hope Assembly of God Church, 901 Worthington Avenue, Clairton, PA 15025.
