Lawrence L. “Huck” Patton, age 89, of Elizabeth, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Jefferson Hospital. He was a retired car salesman at Sturman-Larkin Ford in Pleasant Hills and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II where he served as a petty officer 3rd class signalman.
A member of the Pleasant Hills American Legion, “Pappy Huck” loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and was also an avid Steelers fan. Born December 7, 1926 in Elizabeth, he was a son of the late Earl K. and Emma (Lindsey) Patton. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy (Hunt) Patton; daughters, Pamela (Joseph) Tortorice of Elizabeth and Leslie (Gary DeMarco) McNeil of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Damien (Jennifer Fratangeli) Tortorice, Mason Tortorice and Emily McNeil; great-grandchild, Tyler Egleberger; nieces and nephews; and his future great-granddaughter Rayne Maci Tortorice who will grant him his wings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Pat Schwirian, Lois Urban, Betty Anjeski and Adeline Patton; and brothers, John and Pete Patton. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 N. 2nd.
