James E. Patton Sr., age 84, of Carroll Twp., formerly of Clairton, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Lawson Nursing Home, Inc. He retired after 36 years as a tin worker at U.S. Steel Clairton Works. A Marine having served during the Korean War, he enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing at his camp in Bedford. He also enjoyed drawing and woodworking.

Born October 14, 1934 in Clairton, he was a son of the late Roy and Mary (Pierce) Patton. He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise (Hoover) Patton; children, Darla (Kenneth) Losteter of Glassport, Lora (the late Ronald) Hess of West Mifflin, James E. (Ronna) Patton Jr. of Jefferson Hills and Roy (Kaycie) Patton of Forward Twp.; stepchildren, Laurie (Norm) Pigeon of Canada and Paul (Dana) Young of Cranberry; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Roxana Patterson of Buena Vista; and his dog, Kalie.
