Dorothy (Davis) Gealy, age 96, formerly of Forward Twp., passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Paramount Senior Living at South Hills. She retired as an anesthesia tech at McKeesport Hospital and was a member of Bethesda United Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth. Like Rosie the Riveter, she worked at U.S. Steel Irvin Works during World War II. She loved her family, her home, animals and she enjoyed baking. She was an extremely generous person who loved Christmas and giving gifts.

Born July 9, 1923 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late Phineas and Helen (Politoski) Davis and wife of the late Delwyn E. Gealy Sr. She is survived by daughter, Helen Colleen (Charles F.) Mara of Palm Springs, CA; son, Delwyn E. (Shirley) Gealy of Pleasant Hills; grandchildren, Evan (Stephanie) Gealy of Pittsburgh and Regan (Cameron) Gealy of Woodstock, GA; sister-in-law, Virginia Davis of Forward Twp.; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by grandson, Aaron Gealy; sisters, Elizabeth "Lib" R. Townsend and Gloria "Sugh" Dubs; brothers, Phineas "Shark" Davis and Edward "Skip" Davis. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 12-4 PM. A funeral service will take place on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Walt Pietschmann officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
